Just a few days left of the 2014 Alligator season

We are in the midst of finishing up the 2014 recreational alligator hunting season. It has been fun and  interesting. High waters this year made hunting more challenging. The Gators were able to move over greater distances into creeks and pastures. Their food supply of migrating ducks has led the gators to forage at night and search for food in the cow pastures due to the high waters. Most of our hunts are done on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes, the Headwaters to the Everglades; located in the Orlando area, near Kissimmee, St Cloud. Call or book with us online. We are located just 30 minutes from the theme parks, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios. You can call us or reserve on our website. We are offering holiday gift certificates for the 2015 gator season and can be paid online.

2014 Orlando gator hunts. Tags Still available

Book a guide trip today; we still have gator tags available for the month of October. The 2014 gator season has been really busy. Orlando Gator Guides, Captain Randy DuMars and Captain Bobby Hensel have been hunting on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes almost every night during the season. Hunts are located 30 minutes from Walt Disney World and area theme attractions.  With high water levels gators have been foraging for food in the water flows. October is looking good! Weather is cooling off the rain will be less. This is a great time to be in Kissimmee Saint Cloud area, the Headwaters to the Everglades.  Do a little Gator hunting or Bowfishing, while your family takes in some of Florida’s famed Disney attractions.

About Orlando Alligator Hunting

bigGatorYour evening will begin at Wojos bait and tackle where you’ll meet your Orlando alligator hunting guide 1 hour prior to the start of the hunt. Everyone participating in the hunt must arrive with an alligator trapping license which can be purchased at xxx. Your guide will discuss all safety issues, and familiarize you with the equipment you’ll be using on your hunt. You’ll then follow your guide to the launch point to begin your hunt.

twogatorsYou’ll be hunting under the cover darkness, assisted by headlights mounted on your guide boat. As you move through the waters of Orlando’s lakes and swamps, both you and your guide will be on the lookout for the glowing eyes of monster gators, just breaking the surface of the water, staring back at you as they silently glide through the water in search of their next meal. The sensation of stalking you’re prey under the cover of darkness will definitely get your blood flowing, and when the eyes appear from out of the darkness, the excitement really begins, as you play a game of cat and mouse in an attempt to approach within striking distance of your trophy gator.

longgatorWhen the moment of truth arrives, you’ll attempt to attach a line to the gator. Your alligator hunting guide will instruct you on what equipment to use for the most effective strike. You’ll have a variety of weapons at your disposal including rod and reel with large snagging hooks, bow and arrow, crossbow and harpoon. Once a line is attached, your guide will assist you in battle as you bring your gator within arms length striking a final blow using a bang stick.

About Orlando Bowfishing

bowfish1Just a 30 minute drive from the Orlando theme parks lie the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. Well known as a premiere bass fishing destination, these lakes also offer some of Florida’s finest bowfishing opportunities. During a typical day on the water with your Orlando bowfishing guide you’ll be targeting species such as tilapia, armored pecos, and catfish as well as gar and mudfish.

bowfishingfromplatformWe offer both daytime and nighttime trips that can accommodate up to 3 shooters (only 2 shooting simultaneously). Leaving out of the Kissimmee/St. Cloud area, just 30 minutes from the major Orlando theme parks, both our daytime and nighttime trips are 4 hours long. Each offers its own unique experience. During our daytime trips, which depart at 9 AM, you’ll be able to take in the incredible natural beauty and wild life our Orlando area lakes have to offer, and don’t be surprised if you come across a few gators while you fish. For our nighttime trips you’ll meet up with your Orlando bowfishing guide 1 hour before dark, which gives you some time to familiarize yourself with the boat. As you glide through the water under the cover of darkness you’ll search for your prey with the assistance of lights powered by an on-board generator, giving you the best shooting situation possible. The sense of not knowing what’s just beyond the lights is an exhilarating experience that makes the trip truly memorable.
